Incubator Workshop calls for
innovative carbon saving ideas

At the Applied Research and Incubator workshop Carbon Trust event on 14th November, Carbon Trust representatives Dr Garry Staunton (Technology Director) and Rachael Nutter (Business Incubation Manager),
offered information and advice to delegates on technology development and commercialisation, how to apply for funding, and an insight into eligibility criteria.

John Willis of Willis Renewable Energy Systems Ltd and Dr Nicholas Wells delivered case studies of their experiences.

Olive Hill, Director of Technology & Process Development at Invest NI and a Carbon Trust board member gave an overview of the support available directly from Invest NI for R&D. In the afternoon delegates had the opportunity to have a one-to-one surgery to receive tailored advice on their specific business ideas.

Forward thinking individuals with innovative carbon saving ideas, or engaged in low carbon research and development, are encouraged to pursue the open call process as the Carbon Trust are currently scoping the low carbon innovation capability within Northern Ireland. The next call will open on 11th February 08 and close on 3rd April 08.’’
