Ulster Shredders is currently enjoying one of its busiest periods in recent times, with a customer base that is continuing to grow at home and abroad.
The Magherafelt based manufacturer has been winning new and repeat business for its innovative and versatile ranges of industrial shredders, as the economy shows little signs of any adverse fall-out from the UK’s vote to leave the European Union.
Comments Managing Director Elliott Martin: “Even since Brexit, we have been exporting quite a few shredders to places such as Switzerland, Finland and South Africa, and in recent months the local market has also picked up, not just across the UK mainland, but also in both the north and south of Ireland.”
So to what does he attribute this growing success? “We’ve always keep in touch with our established customers, but we have also raised our profile which has resulted in us attracting new clients. We’ve have been very busy handling new quotes and working to convert those into sales.”
Another factor is that Ulster Shredders’ range of shredders can be custom designed to suit the requirements of individual clients.
“Whether it’s for a SME or a nationwide recycling organisation, we can design and deliver a shredder that’s perfectly adapted to that particular working environment and capable of handling whatever needs to be shredded, be it plastic, metal, tyres, documents or other materials,” says Elliott.
Ulster Shredders’ state of the art engineering facility houses several complete shredding lines, and the fact that its highly skilled team of engineers are able to carry out trials, tests and demonstrations of customers’ materials under real production conditions is also a big bonus when it comes to increasing sales.
