It may not be making the headlines anymore, but asbestos still remains a clear and present danger, so it is not surprisng that the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland recently warned that continued asbestos management failings means that workers and businesses are still being put in jeopardy. In this issue, we take a closer look at this ‘hidden’ problem.
We also welcome to Sustainable Ireland the new minister responsible for the environment (as well as agriculture and rural affairs) Michelle McIlveen, who will be contributing a regular column. The main topic of her first is Northern Ireland’s stunning landscape and natural environment which makes for thought provoking reading.
